Heritage Sites

Special care is taken when designing acoustical interventions on heritage sites, especially as these spaces have high architectural value that needs to be preserved, as well as being sensitive to damage. Our solutions are carefully designed to meet these standards, and we go far and beyond to ensure acoustical interventions are as invisible as possible. 

At Paulus Haus in Jerusalem, we carefully designed the acoustic environment through detailed simulations and calculations to achieve reverberation times and room acoustic parameters compliant with international standards for dining halls. Following the evaluation of several proposed solutions in close coordination with the client, the final design integrated acoustic fabric wall systems alongside semi-translucent sound-absorbing curtains for the windows. The dining space was transformed from a chaotic and rumbling acoustic environment into a calm and comfortable atmosphere, allowing guests to dine and converse free from auditory stress.

Similarly, the bespoke acoustic design process at Maison D’Abraham in Jerusalem resulted in multiple integrated interventions, including custom-designed acoustic panels that blended seamlessly with the interior aesthetics, acoustic fabric systems, and sound-absorbing acoustic spray treatments for curved and vaulted ceilings.
